Whistler/VANOC Composting Project

Date: Summer 2006 – Fall 2007

Material: Wood Waste from site
Chicken Litter

Volume: Initially over 30,000 cubic yards wood waste
Second phase included much larger scope to
provide compost for greening of cleared land

Curing Time: Standard 8 weeks except for material that remained
in bags over winter, under snow.

Points of Interest: All completed composted was seeded with wild flower mix and blown by Denbow Environmental onto the site to prepare it for
upcoming Olympics.
